On 23rd May 2012, 5 research projects videos were shown followed by a debate on how the water research technologies can be further used by policy makers and industries. Some of the videos are produced by STREAM project and show interviews from project coordinators and visits to test sites at European level.

STREAM satellite event is 1 hour session to show the videos produced by STREAM and other projects and to debate around the water research technologies to be used by policy makers and industries. The videos show the latest water technologies, interviews with proejct researchers and visits to European test sites.

In 2012, the main theme is "Water", more precisely "The Water Challenge – Every Drop Counts".

These include different types of events, e.g. press conferences, guided tours, exhibitions, fairs, seminars, etc. which are related to the Green Week theme each year. In 2011 satellite events were held in 15 Member States around Europe, with around 8000 participants.
